Clack Settings: Hardness, Regen Day, Regen Time

The following parameters can be changed on the Clack 4-button controller:

Hardness: The hardness value for the water being treated (in Grains Per Gallon)

Regen Days: The maximum number of days between regenerations (aka "Day Override")

Regen Time: The time of day that a regen occurs


To access the menu where the values can be changed, press and hold the NEXT and UP buttons for 3 seconds, then release:

Hardness

  • Set the local hardness value in Grains Per Gallon (GPG)
  • Convert from mg/L or PPM to GPG by dividing by 17.1
  • For every 1.0 mg/L or PPM of iron+manganese, add 3 GPG to the hardness value

Regen Days:

  • sets the maximum number of days between regenerations
  • Default values for Aquatell softeners as follows:
    • Wellmaster = 7 days
    • All others - 10 days
  • These values should not be adjusted without consulting Aquatell or resin damage may result

Regen Time:

  • the time of day that regeneration occurs
  • default value is 2:00am
  • you can choose any time you want
  • during the regeneration, water can be used, but it will not be softened
